Alias: Static Height: 54 Age: 18 Appearance: Curly short orange hair, matching eyes. Dressed in a leather emerald suit and cape. She wears the suit to avoid contact with anyone's skin. Haleigh is the youngest, most intelligent and most mischievous of her family.
History: Since she was nine, Haleigh took ice skating classes in her hometown of and gained a place at the Junior World Championships at the age of 13. She won bronze and she was everyone's favourite figure skater in Canada. Everything couldn't have been better, until a lovely sunny day on July 18th. She was practising her ice-skating on a frozen lake when her boyfriend noticed storm clouds forming. He called her back but she asked for another five minutes. The rain grew to a sudden downpour and she slipped falling onto the ice. Her boyfriend watched in horror as the ice broke underneath her plunging her into the cold water. Hurrying to her aid, he stopped short when a bright light flashed in front of him and threw him backwards. Haleigh spent weeks in hospital recovering from being struck by lightning. She tried to return to high school, but she was expelled after she touched a fellow classmate and made them collapse in pain. Her ice skating team banned her after she wiped out the computer's hard drive with just a touch. Powers: Power to create and manipulate static electricity, and the ability to discharge bolts. The suit protects her from incoming bolts. (Oh, and water doesn't hurt her, however you wouldnt want to go in the pool at the same time she does- electric shock otherwise)

"A story has to be finished, and no matter how distracted you get, you need to force yourself to forge ahead, word by word. If your idea is boring though, and that's why you're easy to distract...well, that's a really fantastic reason for not being able to focus on the task at hand! In that case, head back to the drawing board. And again, don't give up!"- Marjorie Liu, NYX: No Way Home interview
"Really? That's INANE. Most people in life don't HAVE great power, and the few that do are almost NEVER responsible with it. The people who have the greatest responsibility are the kids with NO POWER because we're the ones who have to keep everybody else in check."- Gertrude Yorkes, Runaways (vol. 2) #11
Gee thanks guys. Glad you like her, I think someone wearing a suit might seem strange walking around so I suppose it can go underneath her school uniform.
