Surge (changed Marvel character)

Name: Noriko "Nori" Ashida
Codename: Surge
Age: 17
Relatives: Seiji Ashida (father), Suki Ashida (mother), and Keitaro Ashida (brother)
Powers: Noriko can absorb electricity and, with the help of a pair of gauntlets made by Forge, use that energy to increase her speed or unleash it in an offensive burst of electrical energy.
Abilities: Noriko is surprisingly amazing at programming things, even though she has never been to a programming class. She can also play an electric guitar rather well.
Uniform: Her uniform is basically a black t-shirt with short sleeves and a huge X across it that clearly reveals her stomach, the pants that she wears in the comics, a pair of black sneakers, and a grey beanie.
Background info: Noriko grew up in an anti-mutant household, raised by a rather strict father and a kind and loving mother. She had a close relationship with her younger brother up until her mutant powers manifested, and Nori ran away from home. Nori wasn't quite sure how she wound up in America, but that wasn't a problem with her since she had taken English at her school. For awhile, she lived on the streets and took drugs to help control her powers. Then she discovered that there was a school for mutants like her and decided to go there. At first, she was turned away by Julian Keller, but she was soon found by some other students and led back to the school, where she was given a pair of gauntlets to help her control her powers. While at the school, which most called Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, Nori became friends with David Alleyne, and their relationship soon became something more than a friendship. Nori also discovered that she was highly talented in computer programming, and that she absolutely loved American Alternative Rock music. One day, she and David were called by Dr. Moira MacTaggert to live on Muir Island.

If your idea is boring though, and that's why you're easy to distract...well, that's a really fantastic reason for not being able to focus on the task at hand! In that case, head back to the drawing board. And again, don't give up!" - Marjorie Liu, NYX: No Way Home interview

"Really? That's INANE. Most people in life don't HAVE great power, and the few that do are almost NEVER responsible with it. The people who have the greatest responsibility are the kids with NO POWER because we're the ones who have to keep everybody else in check." - Gertrude Yorkes, Runaways (vol. 2) #11
