Powers and abilities: Enhanced senses, as well as slightly enhanced speed and strength. She is unaware of the fact that she is a metahuman.
Serena has a black belt in Tang Soo Do and is trained in the uses of most traditional weapons, such as a sword and nunchaku.
She has been trained in using all types of guns, though she prefers to merely use a pistol in her line of work.
Clothing and appearance: Serena is a relatively tall (5'11") African Canamerican woman with the normal physique of someone who partakes in karate and works out regularly. She has no particular fashion sense, though she does usually wear a fedora, as that is the stereotypical hat for private eyes to wear.
Background information: An avid sports fan, Serena pretty much SUCKED at playing them... until she hit puberty. Suddenly, she became faster and stronger than everyone else on the team. She even became able to stop wearing her glasses, something that her eye doctor called a "miracle". Despite these odd occurrences, it never became apparent to Serena - or any of her family members, for that matter - that this was all because she was a metahuman. As her high school career progressed, Serena earned MVP awards left and right and won games for her school at ease. Even though she was extremely successful as an athlete, Serena never planned on becoming a professional sports star. In college, she majored in criminal investigation and afterwards took the test to become a private investigator, which she passed. Since then, she has worked as a professional investigator for numerous clients, with a 95% success rate.

"A story has to be finished, and no matter how distracted you get, you need to force yourself to forge ahead, word by word. If your idea is boring though, and that's why you're easy to distract...well, that's a really fantastic reason for not being able to focus on the task at hand! In that case, head back to the drawing board. And again, don't give up!"- Marjorie Liu, NYX: No Way Home interview
"Really? That's INANE. Most people in life don't HAVE great power, and the few that do are almost NEVER responsible with it. The people who have the greatest responsibility are the kids with NO POWER because we're the ones who have to keep everybody else in check."- Gertrude Yorkes, Runaways (vol. 2) #11
