My Ultimate version of the Stepford Cuckoos.

Name: Mindee Stepford

Age:
16

Background information: Mindee Stepford was an ordinary girl... until the night of her Sweet Sixteen. On the night of her Sweet Sixteen, Mindee split into five ordinary girls... Well, five ordinary girls who all look really similar and have unique superpowers... but five ordinary girls, nontheless. Since that day, she has learned to control her "splitting ability" and has discovered that she has telepathy, as well as the fact that all of the girls she can "split" into have their own, unique ability. Her parents decided to move into New York city, where the "freaks" thrive, as they believed that to be a more "natural" environment for their daughter...s.

Powers: Mindee has the ability to split into five different girls, each with their own personality and their own, unique power. While Mindee is split into the five girls, they all remain in a strong mental link that cannot be broken. They're all identified by their differently-colored eyes and the streaks of color found in their hair. "Mindee" only exists when the five girls are united. When they're split, there is no "Mindee". Mindee does not have access to - or at least hasn't learned how to access - the girls' powers when she exists. Instead, she has access to high-level telapthic abilities. It is unknown what would happen if one of the girls were to die.

Powers of each girl:

Sophie - Telekinesis

Phoebe - Pyrokinesis; cryokinesis

Irene - Invulnerability; super strength

Celeste - Healing touch; healing factor; enhanced senses

Esme - Acidic touch (can turn it on and off)

"A story has to be finished, and no matter how distracted you get, you need to force yourself to forge ahead, word by word. If your idea is boring though, and that's why you're easy to distract...well, that's a really fantastic reason for not being able to focus on the task at hand! In that case, head back to the drawing board. And again, don't give up!" - Marjorie Liu, NYX: No Way Home interview

"Really? That's INANE. Most people in life don't HAVE great power, and the few that do are almost NEVER responsible with it. The people who have the greatest responsibility are the kids with NO POWER because we're the ones who have to keep everybody else in check." - Gertrude Yorkes, Runaways (vol. 2) #11
