another reason why DC sucks

Knockout's obviously editorially mandated brutal killing. Taken from Birds of Prey.

In that case, head back to the drawing board. And again, don't give up!" - Marjorie Liu, NYX: No Way Home interview

Notice the presence of Catwoman, Martian Manhunter, and Mary Marvel. Pay close attention to the wording at the bottom right hand corner, and look closely at the broken green arrow (which is kinda hard to see in this one...).

No it doesn't! Mary Marvel being evil... Now that's just messed up! DC's screwed up with enough of the teen hero's lives! Can't they just leave one alone?! (Steph died, Conner died, Bart died, Tim and Cass kissed for no good reason, they screwed up the shocking twist in Supergirl's background story, Gar and Raven broke up, Gar left the Teen Titans for the Doom Patrol, must I go on...?) And Mary Marvel of all people, too!

I would also like to point out that the Mary Marvel portion of Countdown is just... It just doesn't work.

Even though I absolutely loved the way it was written, I'm still pissed on how they made Selina put Helena up for adoption; it was just so tragic...

I was reading Casstoons, and alternate-Mary's words are just perfect to explain why I hate DC for making our Mary comatose... and then evil:

This one does too:

Okay, so a more condensed list:

- Knockout's death
- Big Barda's death
- Countdown in general
- Hawkgirl's, Welcome to Tranquility's, Manhunter's, Catwoman's, and Birds of Prey's cancellation
- Supergirl's continued publication
- the ridiculous delay and un-advertisement involved in the new Terra miniseries, which, in the end, caused the comic to sell poorly
- the fact that my comic book store only seems to get every other issue of Madame Xanadu, Air, and Secret Six
- Final Crisis
- Dan DiDio's continued existence
- the ironic cancellation of Blue Beetle when he finally got a presence on the small
- the ridiculous inconsistencies and obvious editorial mandates between issues of Teen Titans
- Catwoman giving up Helena for adoption
- Batgirl becoming evil for no good reason and then being given a miniseries written by the man who made her evil in the first place
- the "resurrection" of Stephanie Brown occurring only to have Robin taken over by a new writer who didn't understand her and then have the series be canceled all together
- the "Origins and Omens" in the last issue of Birds of Prey
- Mary Marvel's screwed-up-iness
- Whatever happened to Miss Martian? -.- I mean, the good Miss Martian. Not the pile of dog crap that McKeever turned her into.
