Mizu

Name: Sayo Mizuki (her friends call her "Mizu", which is Japanese for "water")

Codename:
N/A

Age:
25

Relatives:
Keitaro Mizuki (father), Hanako Mizuki (mother)

Side: neither; she fights the Minotaurs, Orcs, and Destruction's other minions, but she is not a superhero

Powers:
She has hydrokinesis (control over water), and she can infuse regenerative properties into the water that she is controlling to heal wounds and fix things, but she cannot use the water's regenerative properties on herself. If she reverses the regenerative properties in the water and spins it fast enough, Mizu can cause the water to explode and cause destruction; if she uses this ability too much or with a ridiculously large amount of water, she usually collapses. Her limit is usually three or four explosions. Mizu also has low level telepathy. She can only scan minds for memories and information, and she cannot use any other telepathic abilities. Mizu is usually very good at guessing what well happen next after someone does something; she is known to be wrong, though.

Clothing:

uniform - N/A

regular clothes -
During school and when hanging out with her friends, Mizu usually wears a short-sleeved, button down shirt, a pair of tan capris, and a pair of sandals. She usually wears her hair tied in a short, spiky ponytail.

Background info:
Sayo Mizuki was raised by a pair of loving parents as an only child. When her powers manifested, Mizu kept them a secret for fear of rejection from her friends and loved ones, and she didn't use them to fight crime. Eventually, she moved to Canamerica to pursue a career of teaching Japanese. She currently teaches at Silver Hills High School and has one class consisting of one student, Sak.

Seven Years Later

Name:
Sayo "Mizu" Mizuki (she kept her own name)

Age:
32

Relatives:
Keitaro Mizuki (Father), Hanako Mizuki (Mother), Sakura Ursula Mizuki (Half-Sister)

Background info:
After prom night, Mizu and Harry were happily married in Hahaii. (lol. Our equivalent of Hawaii.) After a brief honeymoon and a summer break, she resumed her duties as the Japanese teacher of Silver Hills High, a class which has surprisingly become increasingly popular over the years to the point where her schedule is almost completely filled with classes. At one point, Mizu shared her suspicions with Sak that she was actually her half-sister. A DNA test was taken, and it was revealed that Sak was, in fact, the daughter of Hanako Mizuki and an unknown Caucasian man. As the years passed, Mizu yearned to become a mother. She and Harry tried dozens of times, but all of them ended in failure except one, final attempt at a baby. Since then, she has been on maternity leave.

If your idea is boring though, and that's why you're easy to distract...well, that's a really fantastic reason for not being able to focus on the task at hand! In that case, head back to the drawing board. And again, don't give up!" - Marjorie Liu, NYX: No Way Home interview

"Really? That's INANE. Most people in life don't HAVE great power, and the few that do are almost NEVER responsible with it. The people who have the greatest responsibility are the kids with NO POWER because we're the ones who have to keep everybody else in check." - Gertrude Yorkes, Runaways (vol. 2) #11
