RE: whats ur current top 5 comics

Well I don't read X-Comics, alright? I'm more of a Avengers and a Cosmic reader though I will sometimes pick up some TPBs of some X-Men arcs/ titles. (X-Force, X-Men Legacy, X-Men: Rise And Fall Of The Shi'Ar Empire, etc)

Not too many comics this week, as not too many comics actually CAME OUT this week... Well, ones that I READ, anyways.

Q) Secret Six

I. Love. This. Comic.
It's just... wow.
Spectacular.
Gail Simone in her prime; the best she's ever written. Ever.
Nicola Scott at her best, as usual... Her Wonder Woman is stunning. xD
But damn.
This is the best DC comic out there.

A) Faker [TPB] (This... is the most beautifully fucked up comic I've ever read in my entire life. Highly-recommended.)
A) Exiles (Note to the guys on CBR who thinks the last page is what it appears to be: This is a "Parental Advisory" comic. If it was ACTUALLY what it looks like - and I sincerely hope it isn't what it looks like, as she's my favorite character in this volume of Exiles... and she appears on the covers for later solicitations, so it's very doubtful that it's what Jeff Parker wants us to think it is - then it would have BLOOD and GORE... No blood. No gore. I mean, yeah... there's a heart in a tube, but that could be ANYONE's... Also: MORE PROOF THAT JEFF PARKER AND FRED VAN LENTE ARE BFFs!)
1) Agents of Atlas (Wonderful, as usual. The constantly-changing art is getting annoying, though, and I don't particularly enjoy Hardman's work... I mean, he's not BAD... It just doesn't seem right for this particular title. Fun as always, however.)
1) Gotham City Sirens (Fun and enjoyable with good - but inconsistent - art... Whoever wrote the review on CBR should be promptly fired and thrown out of a window into a pile of horse manure.)

If your idea is boring though, and that's why you're easy to distract...well, that's a really fantastic reason for not being able to focus on the task at hand! In that case, head back to the drawing board. And again, don't give up!" - Marjorie Liu, NYX: No Way Home interview

"Really? That's INANE. Most people in life don't HAVE great power, and the few that do are almost NEVER responsible with it. The people who have the greatest responsibility are the kids with NO POWER because we're the ones who have to keep everybody else in check." - Gertrude Yorkes, Runaways (vol. 2) #11

A) X-Men: Legacy (FINALLY... the X-Kids are in the hands of someone who can WRITE them... Pure fun and action. Highly enjoyable. Highly recommended.)
A) New Avengers: The Reunion [OLD] (My comic book store FINALLY got the last issue in... lol. Only several months late. Fun ending to a fun miniseries with great art... Highly recommended, if you're into good comics.)
1) Ms. Marvel (Oh, how I saw this coming... lol.)
1) Dark X-Men: The Beginning [Namor portion] (Only read this for the Paul Cornell/Leonard Kirk part, and, of course, it was wonderful. It was no Captain Britain and MI-13, but it was certainly very good.)

Today... we have an odd occurrence.
Yes.
We have three Qs.

Q) Captain Britain and MI-13

Fuck all of you.
Yes, you, person reading this.
It is because of people like you - who DIDN'T but Captain Britain and MI-13 - that this - issue 15 - was the final issue.
Why didn't YOU buy Captain Britain and MI-13?
Hmmm?
HMMMMMMM?!

Q) Runaways

I. LOVE. KATHRYN. IMMONEN.
I mean... DAMN.
THIS?
THIS IS GOOD STUFF.
Loving the art.
Loving the story.
Loving the all-female creative team thing we have going on here. (Even a female LETTERER...)
That last page was fantastic.
I want more, but...

Well, why didn't YOU buy Runaways?
Why did YOU cause the issue that comes out in September - the one where Gert comes back - to be the last issue of this fine series?
I mean, nobody's announced anything yet... But after what just happened to Exiles, things don't look too good for my favorite teen heroes.
Well?
Tell me.
I really want to know.

Q) Air

Have I mentioned that I would do G. Willow Wilson?
Because this is another fine, fine comic book.
One that isn't getting canceled.
One with sex, mystery, and intrigue.
One with Amelia Earhart.
AMELIA.
EARHART.
'Nuff said.

A) X- Force (LET THE BOOMING COMMENCE! But Nori may be dead... BUT TABBY IS ALIVE! ALIVE, I SAY!...She'd better join the team, or Kyle and Yost are gonna be missing some heads.)

A) Ms. Marvel (Okay, THAT... that, I did NOT see coming.)

A) All New Savage She-Hulk (A bit of a rushed ending... but I loved it, of course. Bravo, Fred Van Lente! BRAVO!)

1) The Incredible Hercules (The usual goodness.)

1) Avengers: The Initiative (Have I mentioned that I love pregnant Tigra?)
